Power to the People: John & Yoko Live in NYC is a 2026 concert documentary presenting newly restored footage of the legendary One To One concerts performed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono at Madison Square Garden on August 30, 1972. The film captures two sold-out shows — an afternoon and an evening performance — that drew a combined audience of 40,000 people and raised over $1.5 million for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Willowbrook State School in New York, organized at the urging of journalist Geraldo Rivera. Lennon and Ono perform with the Plastic Ono Band and Elephant's Memory, with special guest appearances by Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Melanie Safka, and Sha Na Na. The setlist includes Lennon originals such as 'New York City,' 'Instant Karma!,' 'Imagine,' 'Mother,' and 'Come Together,' alongside a cover of 'Hound Dog' and a rousing encore of 'Give Peace a Chance.' Yoko Ono also performs her own compositions including 'Don't Worry Kyoko' and 'Open Your Box.' Historically significant as the only full-length concerts Lennon performed after The Beatles disbanded, the film was originally shot in 1972 by director Steve Gebhardt. The 2026 restoration was directed by Simon Hilton, edited by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, and produced by Peter Worsley and Sean Ono Lennon, with a newly remixed and remastered audio-visual presentation running approximately 81 minutes.
