Full plot (spoilers)
Mary (played by Wanda Wiley) is an athletic, tomboyish young woman whose prospective father-in-law considers her too much of a 'he-woman' and bans her from attending a party at his home. Undeterred, and with the help of her boyfriend's sister, Mary disguises herself in men's clothes and dons a fake mustache to crash the event. The ruse works: the father takes an immediate liking to the spirited 'young man,' especially when 'he' declares the party too tame and proposes they slip away to a livelier poker game at a gambling den. When police raid the establishment, the unlikely pair scramble to escape—hiding in barrels that tumble from the roof before they finally get away. Back at the house, the situation spirals into bedroom-farce chaos: the still-disguised Mary is spotted slipping into a girl's bedroom, causing general confusion among the household. The father, oblivious to the deception, insists the 'boy' spend the night in his son's room, unwittingly forcing the very couple he tried to keep apart into close quarters. The film ends with the irony of the father's scheme completely undone by his own hospitality.
