Family Is Everything
mediumRaja's entire journey is motivated by protecting his mother: her life-threatening heart condition (threat to family) drives him to Hyderabad, and securing the tutoring salary to fund her surgery is the mechanism of resolution (protection of family). He explicitly chooses deception, blackmail risk, and romantic entanglement over any easier path — prioritizing family over personal comfort or integrity. The plot's emotional engine is filial duty, not ambition or self-interest.
About this message: Family bonds — biological or found — are ultimately what saves the day, provides meaning, and matters most. Characters who stray from family suffer; those who return are rewarded.

Full plot (spoilers)
Raja (Suman) is an unemployed young man whose mother (voiced by Dubbing Janaki) suffers from a serious heart condition requiring an expensive operation. Unable to afford treatment in his hometown, Raja travels to Hyderabad seeking both a job and medical help for her. During the train journey he encounters Srinivasa Rao (Babu Mohan), a retired music teacher en route to take up a tutoring post at Island Estate for a monthly salary of Rs. 3,000. By chance, the two men's suitcases are swapped when they alight. Back at his lodgings Raja opens the bag and discovers Srinivasa Rao's appointment letter and address. Desperate for income to fund his mother's surgery, he disguises himself as the elderly music teacher and takes the position in Srinivasa Rao's place. At Island Estate he serves as tutor to four unruly children under the watchful eye of the stern proprietor Bala Tripura Sundari. His precarious double life grows increasingly complicated on two fronts: a thief who sees through the disguise begins blackmailing him, and Bala Tripura Sundari—worried about an unfavourable planetary alignment affecting her marriage prospects—develops romantic feelings for the man she believes to be the real Srinivasa Rao. The film is a comedy-drama charting how Raja untangles these overlapping crises while protecting his secret. It is a Telugu-language remake of the 1962 Hindi film Professor and is noted as the second Telugu adaptation of that source material.
